From my experinces, relationships are only for those who are wholly incapable of loving, and are outright underserving of love in return.
You HAVE to be a self-centered person to attract mates I swear. You beat women, awesome, you're probably married, you call women names and demean them publicly, damn son, you're on your way to be president.
That's a pretty warped generalization on relationships I realize, but it seems at times that being the kind hearted, selfless, gentleman my mother raised me to be, brings me more grief and heartache than these other asshats completely living it up, regardless of anyone elses feelings. Do I feel like i'm constantly fucking up somewhere? yes, completely. But I will never sell out and become a self-centered, materialistic, jaded, asshat. even if it means a lifetime of lonliness and misery. staying true to myself is a lot more important than giving in to this topsy turvy ride we call life.
